I was just looking through the internet to get different ideas for this week's blog post dealing with interactive whiteboards and I found a couple of websites that I thought would be fun to incorporate into a lesson some sort if your classroom has an interactive whiteboard. They range in content and grade levels I just thought it would be nice to share. I have used some of them in the past when creating lessons or taken ideas from the ones shown and created my own off the software provided with the electronic whiteboard to make it more age appropriate or edit ideas in it I didn't like out.

Hi leah:
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these various website resources. It is these types of engaging resources that can help a teacher diversify his/her classroom lessons.

I am super psyched that you posted these links!! I am going to use them to help me to find lessons for my collaborative project. I will be teaching one lesson per week using the IWB in my school's library as a review of something we have discussed throughout the week. Thanks for providing additional places to obtain great ideas!!
ReplyDeleteLeah,
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing some research and providing these sites. I will take a look. From your posts, I understand you have had multiple opportunities to use IWBs. What grade level or subject has been your focus area? Have you had the opportunity to have one in your own classroom or did you have to use the library's or another location?
Thanks everyone. I'm glad you liked them.
ReplyDeleteSue- my experience with a smartboard was directed towards college students, the 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. The settings they were in were individual classrooms and the school's library.
I have used the scholastic website but actually haven't yet this school year so thanks for the reminder Leah! As I said last week I have what they call a "promethean board" so I also use a website called prometheanplanet.com. It is a very useful resource.
ReplyDeleteLeah,
ReplyDeleteThese websites are fantastic! There are endless ideas on all of these websites. These are also great ideas to incorporate into lessons even if you don't have a smartboard. You can take the ideas given and adapt them to the resources you have in your classroom. I am definitely bookmarking these websites! Thanks!!
Yeah, my personal favorite out of these sites is scholastic and there are many more out there but I just tried to find a range for different ages and topics.
ReplyDeleteAngela- You're right, you don't need a smartboard or any kind of an electronic whiteboard to use these activities.
